(1) In the election of the 16th Board of Directors, due to the nomination and recommendation of only 16 candidates, the minimum number, stated in first item of Article 11 of the Bylaws of Association, was not met: (The board consists of twenty-one or more Directors). After discussion and approval of the 15th Board of Directors, all nominated candidates were elected as the Directors of the 16th Board of Tung Koon Benevolent (Can.) Association. The duty assignment of the Directors (see the attached table) has been announced in the 2022 Annual General Meeting.
(2) The 2022 Annual General Meeting was held on June 5, 2022 at the Auditorium of the Hastings Community Centre in Vancouver. There were 49 Life members attending, holding proxies for 31 Life members, so a total of 80 voting Life members participated and all votes on the agenda of the AGM were successfully passed. There were also 5 sponsoring members in attendance. The AGM was a complete success. Thanks to all members who attended for their support and encouragement to the Association!
(3) Tung Koon Benevolent (Can.) Association has elected its 16th Board of Directors on May 4! Now the 16th Director Oath-of- inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held on July 7, 2022 at Floata Seafood Restaurant in China Town. On that day, Honorary Consultant for Life Mr. Kelly Ip is invited to administer the oath for the new 16th Board of Directors. Inauguration dinner: July 7, 2022 (Thursday) 6:00 pm, $48 per person. All members, friends and relatives are welcome to actively participate! (4) The SUCCESS 2022 Walk with the Dragon is back in person at Stanley Park on July 10, 2022 (Sunday) between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Proceeds will support the wellness of our communities, particularly essential S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs for families, youth, women, and seniors. Our Association has teamed up to participate over the years and have won many Gold, Silver, Bronze Trophies and Awards of the fund raising! Due to the pandemic, it has been two years since the physical on-site Walk with the Dragon was held. This year, the physical walk will be restored. Please support the Association and participate in the fundraising team, participate in Walk with the Dragon, to contribute to charity and public welfare!
