2022年六月份會員通訊

各位會員，鄉親：

大家好！

（1）同鄉會十六屆理事會選舉，由於提名推薦的只有16位候選人，未達到會章第十一條第一項，「理事會由二十一人或以上組成」的下限，經過十五屆理事會討論通過，所有提名候選人全部當選成為16屆理事。加拿大東莞同鄉會第十六屆理事職務分工（見附表）已於2022年會員週年大會公佈。

（2）2022年會員週年大會，在2022年6月5日假溫哥華喜士定社區中心禮堂舉行。核實有49位永久會員出席，當中持有授權書的，共代表31位永久會員。合共有80位有投票權的永久會員參與表決，而所有大會議程表決都得到順利通過。另外還有5位贊助會員出席。大會圓滿成功，衷心感謝各位出席的會員鄉親，對東莞同鄉會的支持和鼓勵！

（3）東莞同鄉會已於5月4日選出第十六屆理事會！現定於2022年7月7日假溫哥華華埠富大海鮮酒家，舉行第十六屆理事宣誓就職典禮。當日會邀請東莞同鄉會永遠名譽顧問葉承基先生，為第十六屆理事就職監誓。就職典禮晚宴入席時間：2022年7月7日（星期四）晚上6:00，餐券每位48元。歡迎各位會員鄉親好友積極參與！報名請電同鄉會會所：604-255-8280或周少蘭會務經理：778-882-9269； 或在電子平台接龍報名。感謝你們的支持和參與！

（4）中僑慈善公益百萬行，將於2022年7月10日（星期日）上午8:30至中午12:30在溫哥華士丹利公園林柏文園舉行，收益撥捐中僑青年、婦女、家庭和長者服務！同鄉會本著為善最樂，不甘後人，歷年都有組隊參加，得過多個籌款金、銀、銅盃獎及獎項！中僑公益百萬行因疫情關係，已有兩年沒有舉辦實體現場百萬行了。今年恢復實體現場百萬行，請各位會員鄉親支持東莞同鄉會，參與組隊籌款參加百萬行，為慈善，為公益出一份力！如有贊助百萬行捐款，請通知周少蘭會務經理：778-882-9269。感謝大家的大力支持！

Hello fellow members and folks,

(1) In the election of the 16th Board of Directors, due to the nomination and recommendation of only 16 candidates, the minimum number, stated in first item of Article 11 of the Bylaws of Association, was not met: (The board consists of twenty-one or more Directors). After discussion and approval of the 15th Board of Directors, all nominated candidates were elected as the Directors of the 16th Board of Tung Koon Benevolent (Can.) Association.  The duty assignment of the Directors (see the attached table) has been announced in the 2022 Annual General Meeting.

(2) The 2022 Annual General Meeting was held on June 5, 2022 at the Auditorium of the Hastings Community Centre in Vancouver.  There were 49 Life members attending, holding proxies for 31 Life members, so a total of 80 voting Life members participated and all votes on the agenda of the AGM were successfully passed. There were also 5 sponsoring members in attendance. The AGM was a complete success.  Thanks to all members who attended for their support and encouragement to the Association!

(3) Tung Koon Benevolent (Can.) Association has elected its 16th Board of Directors on May 4! Now the 16^th Director Oath-of- inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held on July 7, 2022 at Floata Seafood Restaurant in China Town.  On that day, Honorary Consultant for Life Mr. Kelly Ip is invited to administer the oath for the new 16^th Board of Directors.  Inauguration dinner: July 7, 2022 (Thursday) 6:00 pm, $48 per person. All members, friends and relatives are welcome to actively participate! For registration, please call the Club at 604-255-8280 or Club Manager Lillian Zhao at 778-882-9269, or register on the electronic platform.Thank you for your support and participation!

(4) The SUCCESS 2022 Walk with the Dragon is back in person at Stanley Park on July 10, 2022 (Sunday) between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.   Proceeds will support the wellness of our communities, particularly essential S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs for families, youth, women, and seniors. Our Association has teamed up to participate over the years and have won many Gold, Silver, Bronze Trophies and Awards of the fund raising! Due to the pandemic, it has been two years since the physical on-site Walk with the Dragon was held. This year, the physical walk will be restored.  Please support the Association and participate in the fundraising team, participate in Walk with the Dragon, to contribute to charity and public welfare!  For donations, please notify Club Manager Lillian Zhao at 778-882-9269. Members are kindly requested to attend on time.

Members are kindly requested to attend on time. In order to implement epidemic prevention measures, the community center requires all attendees to wear masks and present BC Vaccine Cards.

Dear Members, Folks:

Hello everyone! As the outbreak of the new coronavirus pneumonia continues, it has brought serious impacts and difficulties to everyone’s work and life. On behalf of all directors on the board, I would like to extend cordial greetings to all members and folks! I hope that you will adhere to the epidemic prevention measures and survive the epidemic safely.

The board of directors has prepared the September Newsletter to report to you the work of the conference in recent months.

We arranged for the 2020 and 2021 Annual General Meeting to be held on Sunday, October 17th, and visit our new clubhouse after the general meeting. Hope you all participate enthusiastically. For details, please refer to the attached September Newsletter.
